Role Overview:
The Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the production schedule of engineering projects, ensuring that all production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and on time. You will work closely with the engineering, manufacturing, quality and procurement teams to optimize resource allocation, maintain inventory levels, and ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Production Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production schedules for engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery of products.
* Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage material requisitions, and ensure materials are available for production.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to resolve production issues, align on timelines, and optimize resource allocation.
* Demand Forecasting: Analyze demand patterns, forecast production needs, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet customer requirements.
* Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate production processes for opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
* Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, and progress reports.
* Problem-Solving: Address any production delays, bottlenecks, or material shortages promptly to minimize disruptions.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: Some experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge: Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.
* Software Proficiency: Experience with production planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues quickly and efficiently.
* Qualifications: A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field is desirable but not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical support engineer / service engineer to join a well-respected medical engineering company based in the Croydon area that produce complex software driven, electro-mechanical medical systems used within the critical care sector.
The technical support engineer / service engineer will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing and calibrating the companies products prior to them being sent back to their customers. This role will also involve contact with customers, both via email and phone. you will require good IT skills and be required to input data into the companies CRM system.
Ideally, they are looking for a technical support engineer / service engineer with a background in a similar electronics service technician / engineering role, however they are flexible.
Service Technician Requirements
* BTEC / NVQ / HND / Degree level qualifications within electronics, electrical, software or mechanical engineering

Salary: basic salary of up to £31,000 / £32,000

Mechanical Technician
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a successful medical engineering and manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Aylesbury.
The Mechanical Assembly Technician will work a 37-hour week and will report directly into the Production Manager. You will be ensuring all of the company products are built correctly, with the use of engineering drawings and instructions, in a timely, and quality-focused manner.
We currently have multiple positions open, for mechanical assembly technicians, and also for repairs focused mechanical technicians. You will be required to do assembly with occasional test, fault finding and repairs on their products. The products are a mix of small, low-tolerance rotating mechanisms and electronics – experienced in mechanics is most important but any electronics experience is very helpful (they will train it if needed).
In terms of requirements for this mechanical technician role, they are looking for keen and attentive individuals who are looking to accelerate their learning and skill set. You will need to have good timekeeping skills, a good communicator and of course have a strong engineering and technical background.
The business are open to hearing from individuals who are very experienced, but also love to hear from applicants who have limited commercial experience but a passion for technology, perhaps tinkering around with cars in their spare time, doing Raspberry Pi projects, building computers etc.
